Pam Pickford is a freelance accompanist and piano teacher based in Shropshire.

She studied piano and viola at Dartington College of Arts.

It was here that she was invited to join the John Holland Singers, the prestigious Dartington Hall chamber choir, which performed regular a cappella concerts in venues throughout the South West of England.

Pam went on to gain her teaching certificate at Rolle College, University of Exeter, taking up her first teaching post in the early 70s at the Abraham Darby School, Ironbridge.

She taught piano and A level music at New College, Wellington for twenty years before ‘retiring’ in 2001.

She currently teaches piano and theory at Haberdasher Adams Grammar, Newport and in her spare time is enjoying exploring the vast repertoire of piano chamber music with the Veracini String Ensemble based in the West Midlands.

She accompanies the Midlands Chorale and the Phoenix Singers of Shrewsbury. Pam also enjoys singing with the Phoenix Singers and the William Byrd Singers, Manchester.
